“Couples do not want to clear their dance floor for these outdated traditions. We planned and photographed 47 weddings last year, and only four or five couples did a bouquet/garter toss.”
In 2022, couples will try their hand at a private dance or other unique activities in place of traditional reception events.
Couples will cut down wedding favors
COVID-19 forced many couples to rethink their wedding day priorities, and wedding favors are certainly not one of them.
Couples no longer want to invest in souvenirs like notebooks and jotters, food flasks, mugs, etc., that will get left behind when the wedding is over.
Decrease in micro-weddings
Yes, micro-weddings and minimonies gained popularity during the pandemic. That’s because couples were looking for creative ways to accommodate guests.
But when COVID-19 restrictions loosen up; there will be a shift. Not to say micro-weddings and minimonies will exit the scene, but they’ll become a rare thing. Couples will have large guest lists and wedding events as they eagerly look forward to celebrating their big day with their loved ones.
